Sure, those sunshades LOOK pretty, but are they ACTUALLY functional?? A question we sometimes hear from skeptics in regards to the functionality of sunshades. Featured above is a great example of how they really perform when placed appropriately. Notice the shadow cast directly over the window at a time when the sun would otherwise be beating right in those spaces. This recently installed project, Washington on Harrison in Royal Oak, MI, is a great representation of how sunshades can really cut down on glare and reduce unwanted heat gain from the sun.
