Screening for Science in Chi-Town

400 N. Aberdeen on Chicago’s west side features 16 floors of office and lab space with 2 floors dedicated to parking. AGS gladly provided the four color and various sized aluminum tubes - framing the entire parking deck façade. With a multitude of shapes & sizes to manage and assemble, the fabrication required a distinct tagging method for easy install to the framing system. The screen also featured formed aluminum angles designed to follow the curve of the slab structure. The various “shades” and sizes create a sense of movement while softening and filtering views at the street level of this stunning Art deco inspired structure.
