Custom Aluminum Sunshades consisting of ½” x 4” rectangular tube infill & curved outriggers cut from ¼” x 12” aluminum sheets.

AGS provided this rooftop trellis, adding contemporary and fresh detail to the Fairfield Inn’s exterior. This was achieved with 6” x 6” vertical support tubes welded to mounting plates and fastened to 6” x 6” horizontal beams. The 2” x 4” cross beams attached to the top were then secured with 3” x 4” aluminum angles. The trellis allows a recognizable feature, that is consistent for this hotel chain, that can be seen from afar.
AGS was also tasked to create an atypical “S” shaped outrigger for their horizontal sunshades, while maintaining the ½” x 4” rectangular tube within the profile. This allowed the infill to run parallel to the buildings stone facade.
