Custom Vertical Sunshades using aluminum wedge infill blades
1/8” thick Aluminum Panels with custom water-jet pattern mounted to 2”x3” stainless steel tube.
AGS created a unique vertical sunshade by utilizing the spacing between our wedge bullnose fascia to manage the amount of light entering the facade. The center of the overall sunshade contained (25) rows of infill, while the adjacent areas only contained (13) rows. Our primary objective was to keep the pattern consistent, and we achieved that by using a continuous vertical T-Bracket fastened to the back of the fascias. Then, we used a series of brackets and plates to attach to the Curtain Wall.
On the southeast façade at each window, AGS provided custom aluminum water-jet panels. This created an interesting look on the backside of the building, while providing shade for the windows. The panels attached to vertical stainless steel tubes mounted in front of the windows to the metal stud framing above and below.
