Spotlight Project

San Tomas Square

Santa Clara, CA

“San Tomas was one of the more challenging jobs for AGS to design. Careful coordination between the drafting department, engineers, steel manufacturers, and AGS' production team was required from the very start in order to produce a system that could work with this job's unique criteria. To create San Tomas’ distinctive look … every angle, every size, and every quantity of our specially made airfoils had to be plotted out in as clear a fashion as possible. Despite the numerous unique connection conditions, we were able to minimize the complexity of the frames and airfoils and create something that preserved the design intent and met the customer’s requests. By prioritizing a streamlined approach to manufacturing and assembly early on, we were able to readily handle the revisions and design changes that occurred over the project.”
